Dr. Katryna Andrusik is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Maryland, College Park, where she teaches coursework in Special Education and the Disability Studies Minor, With over 20 years of experience in education as a teacher, administrator, consultant, and coach. Dr. Andrusik uses evidence-based and research-based teaching methods to support current and future K-12 professionals. Dr. Andrusik began her career in Baltimore, MD, and holds B.A. and M.S. degrees from Johns Hopkins University and a Ph.D. from University of Maryland. Her research interests are teacher preparation, post-secondary instruction, reading methods in secondary settings, and disability theory through the lens of accessibility and dismantling ableist structures.
