Data Training Suite

Empowering Nonprofits with Tailored Data Training

TR Consulting offers tailored data training and data-related technical assistance tailored for nonprofit organizations. Nonprofits, philanthropies, and other entities that make up the social sector have unique organizational cultures distinct from corporations, academia, and other for-profit organizations. We therefore believe that professional development for the social sector should be done with that distinctive context in mind.

About our instructors

Drs. Jane Ebot-Bish and T’Pring Westbrook have developed teaching and coaching methods and tools that translate concepts from data science and research into a language designed for immediate application by non-profit professionals. Jane Ebot-Bish, PhD is a data scientist who has led data-related projects across 20 countries. Dr. Ebot-Bish has trained over 200 civil servants in virtual and in-person workshops. T’Pring Westbrook, PhD is a researcher and evaluator who has worked to strengthen data capacity for nonprofits through workshops, trainings, and consultations done nationally. Dr. Westbrook is the co-author of an upcoming book from Johns Hopkins University Press on building data capacity for nonprofits.

The TR Consulting Data Training Suite offers both organizational-level trainings and individual professional development courses. Our courses can be taken in any order, though we recommend that individuals with a limited background in data practices and methods start with the “Data and Information Mindset: Building a Data-Driven Culture” training.

We also provide unique training opportunities developed to fit the specific needs of your organization.
